The 6-Phase Admission & Audition Process
Admission to BHSA is strictly merit-based, evaluating artistic potential, discipline, and academic readiness through the BHSA Entrance Screening Test (BEST). Here is what to expect at every stage.
Online Registration & Submission
Create your student account, complete applicant demographic information, compose your creative motivation statement, and upload scanned academic records and certificates.
Document Verification & Screening
The Admissions Committee reviews all uploaded documents for authenticity, completeness, and academic standing (minimum 80% general average with no failing grades).
The BEST Onsite Audition
Pre-qualified applicants report to the BHSA Bagac Campus with their official Audition Slip to perform live or defend their creative portfolio before expert panels.
Diagnostic Check & Family Interview
Candidates who advance past the audition round undergo a brief diagnostic assessment and a panel interview accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
Merit Decision & Acceptance
Final admission decisions are published privately on each applicant's online portal dashboard. Accepted students download their official DepEd-BHSA Acceptance Letter.
Scholar Onboarding & Clearance
Accepted scholars formalize enrollment by submitting signed Scholarship Agreements, health clearances, original school credentials, and attending the mandatory scholar orientation.
Audition Day Practical Reminders
- • Reporting Time: Arrive at the BHSA Bagac Campus at least 30 minutes before your scheduled audition slot to allow sufficient time for registration and physical or vocal warm-up.
- • What to Wear: Clean, modest audition attire suitable for movement and discipline requirements (Dance: dancewear/leotard; Music & Theatre: smart casual or school uniform; Visual & Media: comfortable studio attire).
- • What to Bring: Your printed official Audition Slip, original Form 138 report card, physical portfolio samples (if applicable), and your personal musical instrument (pianos and standard drum kits are provided on-site).
